Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our priority. Discover how CodingRider protects your personal data, manages learning progress, and ensures secure, transparent educational experiences.

Last Updated: October 2026 • Student Privacy & Data Protection
Plain English Summary: CodingRider is dedicated to student-first education. We collect only the minimal information needed to operate your learning dashboard (such as your name, email for secure OTP authentication, and completed lesson milestones). We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers, and your submitted code snippets are processed in isolated, ephemeral sandboxes without long-term tracking.
1

Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the CodingRider website ([https://codingrider.com](https://codingrider.com)), student dashboard, online code playgrounds, tutorials, and associated educational services (collectively referred to as the "Services").

CodingRider ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Information We Collect

We collect only information essential to providing a personalized, secure, and interactive learning environment:

  • Account Registration Data: When registering, you provide your name and email address. We verify registration using time-limited, encrypted One-Time Passwords (OTPs) sent via email.
  • Security Credentials: Passwords are never stored in plaintext; they are securely hashed using modern salted one-way algorithms (such as PHP's PASSWORD_DEFAULT / Bcrypt).
  • Learning & Progress Activity: To preserve your educational milestones, our database records your course enrollments, lesson completion status, saved bookmarks, and quiz attempt scores.
  • Contact Communications: When you send a message through our contact or support forms, we store your name, email address, and message contents to respond to your inquiry.
  • Technical & Log Information: Standard server logs record anonymous technical metadata such as browser user-agent, IP address, request timestamps, and HTTP response codes to detect unauthorized attacks and ensure system stability.
3

How We Use Your Data

Your information is processed strictly for legitimate educational, functional, and security purposes:

Course Delivery

Enabling seamless access to courses, saving lesson milestones, and tracking curriculum progress in your student dashboard.

Verification & Security

Dispatching automated OTP verification emails to validate account ownership and protect against unauthorized account registration.

Quizzes & Certificates

Evaluating practice question submissions, calculating quiz scores, and preserving records of your technical achievement.

Abuse Prevention

Defending our public online compiler and backend services against denial-of-service exploits, spam bots, and malicious requests.

4

Online Code Compiler & Sandbox Privacy

CodingRider provides an interactive developer sandbox enabling real-time code execution across Python, JavaScript, HTML, C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, and SQL:

Ephemeral Code Processing

Source code submitted through the Online Compiler is sent to isolated sandboxes (such as Judge0 CE) solely to compile and run your snippet, return the standard output or error trace to your browser, and is immediately discarded. Your code is not stored in a public archive, sold, or utilized for AI training without your explicit consent.

Client-side sandboxes (such as JavaScript execution and HTML/CSS previews) run entirely within your browser's local sandbox and are never transmitted to any external server.

5

Cookies, Local Sessions & Google AdSense

CodingRider utilizes functional cookies for platform operation and works with authorized advertising partners to support free education:

  • Session Cookie (PHPSESSID): A standard encrypted session identifier that maintains your logged-in state as you navigate between lessons, courses, and the compiler. It is configured with HttpOnly and Secure flags to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) interception.
  • CSRF Security Tokens: Form protection tokens stored temporarily in session memory to protect student actions from Cross-Site Request Forgery exploits.
  • Local Storage: Non-sensitive UI preferences (such as code editor layout states) stored locally in your browser cache for convenience.

Google AdSense & Advertising Cookie Policy

CodingRider uses Google AdSense to display advertisements across certain pages to help keep our educational resources free for students worldwide. In compliance with Google's publisher policies:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to CodingRider or other websites across the Internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
6

Third-Party Service Providers

To operate our global infrastructure, we collaborate with trusted third-party providers who adhere to strict data security standards:

  • Google AdSense: Serves contextual and interest-based advertisements to fund free educational tools and content for students.
  • Hostinger Hosting & Cloud Infrastructure: Our web hosting, MySQL database, and edge CDN are securely maintained on Hostinger enterprise servers with automated SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Judge0 Isolated Sandbox: For languages requiring remote compilation (Python, C, C++, Java, PHP, C#, SQL), snippets are dispatched securely via HTTPS to Judge0 Community Edition isolated sandboxes.
  • SMTP Email Delivery: Secure automated mailers deliver verification OTPs and support responses directly via authenticated SMTP over TLS (Port 465).
  • Content Delivery Networks (CDNs): Public frontend libraries such as Google Fonts and Font Awesome are delivered via reputable CDNs with subresource integrity.
7

Data Security & Encryption

We employ multi-layered technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data from loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure:

HTTPS Everywhere: All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 / SSL cryptographic protocols.
Irreversible Password Hashing: Passwords are cryptographically salted and hashed using Bcrypt before storage.
PDO Prepared Statements: All database operations utilize parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection vulnerabilities.
Expiring OTP Tokens: Account verification codes automatically expire after 10 minutes to eliminate stale credential risks.
8

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of your geographical location, CodingRider grants you full sovereignty over your personal data:

  • Right of Access: You can view your registered profile information, enrolled courses, and completed lessons directly from your Student Dashboard.
  • Right to Rectification: You can edit and update your name and biographical details at any time through your account settings.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated study history.
  • Right to Restrict or Object: You can object to data processing or withdraw consent for non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these rights, simply submit a request via our Contact Support Desk. We respond to and fulfill verified requests promptly and at no cost.

9

Children & Student Privacy

CodingRider provides educational programming material designed to be safe and accessible for students. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without appropriate parental or school consent.

If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our records.

10

Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your account data and learning progress only for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to close your account:

  • Your user profile, email address, password hash, and active session tokens are permanently removed.
  • All course progress milestones, lesson tracking entries, saved bookmarks, and quiz attempt logs are purged.
  • Anonymous, aggregated statistical metrics (such as the total number of quiz submissions) may remain solely for platform health analysis.
11

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate new platform features, developer tools, or regulatory standards. When updates occur, the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document will be revised.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how CodingRider protects your privacy.
