Modern JavaScript Foundations
JavaScript is a high-level, dynamic language that brings web pages to life. In modern ES6+ standards, we use const and let rather than the older var keyword.
Arrow Functions
Arrow functions offer a compact syntax and lexical this binding:
javascript Example
// Constants and variables
const siteName = "CodingRider";
let activeUsers = 1250;
// Arrow function syntax
const calculateProgress = (completed, total) => {
const percentage = (completed / total) * 100;
return `${Math.round(percentage)}% complete`;
};
console.log(calculateProgress(7, 10)); // 70% complete
